Opt-Out of MapTheNet

We respect your right to control how your domain appears in our data.

Option 1: Block via robots.txt

The fastest way to prevent our crawler from visiting your domain is to add a rule to your robots.txt file. Our crawler identifies itself as MapTheNetBot/1.0.

User-agent: MapTheNetBot
Disallow: /

Once this is in place, our crawler will skip your domain on the next crawl cycle. Existing data for your domain will be retained in historical exports unless you also submit a manual removal request below.

Option 2: Manual Removal Request

If you want your domain removed from all current and future MapTheNet datasets, please complete the form below. We will process your request within 30 days.

What Happens After You Opt Out

  • Your domain is added to our exclusion list immediately.
  • Our crawler will stop visiting your domain within 24 hours.
  • Your domain is removed from all public exports within 30 days.
  • Historical references in aggregated statistics (e.g., total domain counts) may persist, but your domain will no longer be individually identifiable.
